Game you most enjoyed playing in?

In 2009 we played Kerry in the qualifiers and we really had a go at them – they eventually pulled away in the last 10 minutes and went onto win the All Ireland that year but that experience has always stayed with me.

Game you least enjoyed playing in?

Probably last year’s County final replay, Cargin beat us and it’s definitely a medal that got away.

What’s the worst pitch you’ve ever played on?

Played Limerick in NFL game on a pitch called Newcastle West, was horrible, no lines nd grass above your ankle.

Toughest training session you’ve ever been involved in?

Any Mick McGurn running sessions.

What’s your preferred brand of gear?

Adidas for boots, for gloves and socks Elite Sports.

Most inspirational individual you’ve ever met?

My youngest daughter Camille.

Where do you like to go to celebrate?

Back to the club then the AUX lead eventually comes out and the rave begins.

What do you like to do with you are not training/playing?

Donegal with the family and golf.

Which character in any TV show/film are you most like?

Chevy Chase, National Lampoon’s Vacation.

Which team mates (from any club/county) are the first you’d invite on a night out?

Mark “the Dizzler” Sweeney now with St Jude’s , Dublin.

Which team mate is the worst dancer?

Sean McVeigh from Ballymena.

Which team mate is the loudest in the changing room?

Marc Jordan, always looking to tell jokes.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen happy in training/during a match?

Matthew Fitzpatrick forgetting his boots before the NFL final in Croke and using someone else’s and scoring a goal.

What’s the worst excuse you’ve heard to get out of training and who did it come from?

Not really an excuse but Kevin O’Boyle brought his daughter to county training one day and the management looked after her as he trained.

Biggest ego?

Every Armagh player.

Worst/best person to sit next to on the team bus?

Worst is Kevy Quinn he’d put you to sleep talking about himself.

Worst/best person to share a room with on away days?

Worst is Mick McCann, he properly sleepwalks and is a complete disaster, woke up one morning with the hotel phone and menu in my bed.

Who has the best diet, and who has the worst?

Best is Paddy McBride, Worst is me.

Toughest opponent you have played against?

Ricky Johnston.

Best or worst quote you have heard from a team mate/opponent/ manager?

A half-time team talk, Liam Bradley said, “you need to put them under pressure, there’s more pressure in a hen’s fart that what yous are doing”

Best manager you have played for?

Micky Moran & Adrian McGuckin at UUJ.

What frustrates you most about the GAA?

That Casement isn’t built yet but probably not the GAA to blame, but would it happen in any other county? No.

What’s the best thing about being part of the GAA?

Championship.
