DOUBT…An ankle injury may rule out Donal O’Hare

DONAL O’Hare has emerged as a serious doubt for Down’s Ulster Championship quarter-final against Monaghan on Sunday.

Gaelic Life understands that an ankle injury is threatening his participation at Clones, at least from the start anyway.

The Burren clubman is the county’s top scorer this year with 2-14 (2-0 from play), and his absence would be a huge blow for a team that averaged 9.43 points in the League.

Manager Eamonn Burns is also monitoring the fitness of Conor Maginn ahead of the game.
