More points come from the Full forward line than any other one on your team. So you need to pick the forwards who will be the focal point of their county’s attack.
Last year, the NFL Fantasy Football star was Sean Quigley with a massive 118 points. Quigley was also the star full forward in the championship, ammassing a total of 84 fantasy points. We expect him to score big again, even though the Erne county will be playing in a division higher and against trickier defences.
Michael Murphy is one of the stars of Ulster football, but in terms of Fantasy Football his stock has waned. Last season, Patrick McBrearty top scored for Donegal in the league. He was still the Championship top scorer, and it is hard to ignore his talent.
A wild card choice is Antrim’s Brian Neeson. He hit the headlines when Jerome Quinn recorded the St John’s man’s cheeky chip in the McKenna Cup against Queens. Neeson will be the Saffrons’ target man in Division four, and he has the potential to score as heavily as CJ McGourty who’s not available for selection in this competition.
Derry’s Ryan Bell is also worth a mention. It looks like he’ll play in the forward line with Cailean O’Boyle and Emmet McGuckin. Bell is back in the team after taking a year out, and he’ll be looking to impress.
Tyrone have left Darren McCurry out for their first league game, but Connor McAliskey is there, and that makes him their number one Fantasy target.
However, can you afford to be without Monaghan’s Conor McManus. An absolute star for the Ulster Champions, it doesn’t matter what division McManus is playing in, he will score.
