Veterans back as Clann Eireann try to build on potential

CLANN EIREANN

Management:

Tommy Coleman, James Byrne, Mark McCann, Kevin O’Loan and Dan Barton.

Championship programme:

Armagh SFC round one
Clann Eireann v Granemore, August 7

Team news:

The Clann Eireann conundrum is a difficult one to work out, but reports are that the squad is feeling pretty good at the moment. Training numbers are huge and Conor Bell, Ryan Hendseron, Declan Leathem and Danny McKavanagh have all returned. The common belief is that a club that dominated the Armagh underage scene for a decade should not be languishing in Division 1B, but putting all those parts together takes time and effort. An opening round game with Granemore is a good, stiff test to start with, and a match that they are more than capable of winning. Shea Heffron is captaining the side while the likes of Barry McCambridge and Armagh flying machine Conor Turbitt are other exciting young players.
