Tyrone remain on course for McKenna Cup retention

Holders, Tyrone remain on course to retain the Dr McKenna Cup with a 2-16 to 1-10 victory over Down in Armagh. 

Conall McCann’s early goal helped the Red Hands into a 1-12 to 0-4 lead at the break, Darren McCurry sending over six first half scores.

In the second half, Paddy Tally’s men rallied with Cory Quinn’s goal cutting the deficit to four before substitute Ronan McHugh netted to seal the victory.

Tyrone will now meet Monaghan in next Saturday’s decider which is scheduled for 7:30pm in the Armagh, Athletic Grounds.
