Termon aiming to make most of brilliant minor team

Francie Friel (manager) and Johnny McGinley (coach/assistant manager).

Championship Programme:

Kilcar v Termon, August 1

Termon v Bundoran, August 8

Team news:

Francie Friel is the new manager this year and alongside him is Johnny McGinley from Glenswilly. He won two senior championships as a coach with Glenswilly (2011, 2013). The club have seen the departure of Aidan Sweeney and Alan Dugra who have gone travelling for the year. Their biggest loss might be goalkeeper Michael Boyle who has gone to London. It is the first time in 15 years that they will play without Boyle in goals. Friel said that he has a young team at his disposal. Their minor team won the championship last year but lost to Lavey in the Ulster final. Some of them will come through to senior football this year. Their younger players who have been part of the team for a few years now are Ricky Gallagher, Enda McCormick, Daire and Caolan McDaid and Nathan McElwaine.
