RAMOR UNITED
Management:
Ray Cole and Shane McAnarney (joint-managers).
Championship programme:
League stage round one:
Ramor United v Gowna, July 31
Team news:
Ramor made it back to the county final last year for the first time since their 2016 success, but they were edged out by Castlerahan. Former county man James McEnroe remains out of the country but management are reporting pretty much an identical panel to last season although Conor Bradley has transferred to Dunboyne in Meath. They look like a team that could really take advantage of the advanced mark rule, especially with Ado Cole at full-forward, and they will be expecting to go far in the tournament. Every game, bar their quarter-final win over Gowna, was a close-run affair last season. Their other six games included a one-point win, two two-point wins, a four-point win, a one-point loss and a two-point loss. Given their attacking quality, managers Ray Cole and Shane McAnarney will expect to see a bit more offensively this season. Ramor posted 2-13 in their Division One opener against Cootehill with Ben Smith and Sean McEvoy grabbing the goals. McEvoy, along with and Conor Nulty, was making his competitive senior debut.
