SHANE Mulholland is set to be ratified as the next manager of Warrenpoint.
The former Down minor boss will replace the outgoing Niall McAleenan who stepped down earlier this month after four seasons in charge. Under his guidance, the ‘Point reached the 2019 county final and earned a win over Ulster champions Kilcoo in this season’s competition before the Magpies gained revenge in the semi-final.
Mulholland has also been in charge of Down clubs Ballyholland and Rostrevor, and took the latter to the Ulster Intermediate final in 2017 where the lost to eventual All-Ireland champions the Moy.
Mickey Moran and Conelith Gilligan will remain with Kilcoo while Steven Poacher will be Bryansford manager for a second season.
