Mullahoran message is ‘must do better’

Championship programme:

League stage round one:

Mullahoran v Laragh United, August 2

Team news:

‘Must do better’ is the message coming out of Mullahoran after last year’s disappointing campaign. The Dreadnought’s lost all four group games although they did respond with a good relegation play-off win over Shercock with two first-half goals setting them on their way. There had been some speculation that the Brady brothers may call time on their playing days, and there is mixed news on that – Philip is back but Paul isn’t. It’s a young side but they will be led by captain Killian Brady who will bring plenty of knowhow to the panel. There are a lot of young players coming through the club ranks currently. Ryan O’Reilly and Matthew McGahern were with the Cavan minors last year and they should add plenty. O’Reilly in particular looked classy in county colours last season. Another of the Division Two contingent and started with a big 1-17 to 2-6 win away to Cornafean last weekend.
