Monaghan name squad for Meath meeting

MONAGHAN have made one change to the starting team that drew with Louth as they take on Meath in a winner takes all clash this weekend.

Whoever loses the game will crash out of the championship while depending on how Louth get on against Kerry, Monaghan could still finish second in the group.

Conor McManus has been named in the starting line-up although the three-time All-Star didn’t start against the Wee County two weeks ago.

He was introduced as a second half sub, replacing Jack McCarron, as Vinny Corey’s men earned a share of the spoils. Monaghan captain Kieran Duffy misses out however and hasn’t been named in the matchday 26.

Monaghan: Rory Beggan; Ryan Wylie, Killian Lavelle, Jason Irwin, Ryan McAnespie, Ryan O’Toole, Conor McCarthy; Gary Mohan, Joel Wilson, Stephen O’Hanlon, Micheál Bannigan, Michael Hamill, Ciaran McNulty, Jack McCarron, Conor McManus.

Subs: Darren McDonnell, Colm Lennon, Stephen Mooney, Kevin Loughran, Darragh Treanor, David Garland, Micheál McCarville, Andrew Woods, Barry McBennett, Sean Jones, Thomas McPhillips.
