Mixed news for Milford ahead of championship

SP Barrett (manager), Darran Nash (goalkeeping coach), Kevin Mills, Pat Barrett and Aodh McCormack (coaches), Conall McFadden (physio).

Championship Programme:

Naomh Conaill v Milford, August 1

Milford v St Michael’s, August 8

Team news:

Milford have SP Barrett as manager this year, he’s also the current Donegal u-20 manager. Barrett was manager four years ago, and in the interim won an Ulster  title with the Donegal minors. His squad is without midfielder Joey Cullen who is out for year with cruciate injury. Gary Merritt and Kyle Black are also unavailable this year. Ronan Docherty is back after missing last year with a ruptured Achilles injury. Shane McNamee is back after several years on the books at Derry City. Goalkeeper Sean Gallagher has also returned. Matthew McLaughlin and Dylan Dorrian have made the step up from minors and have both featured in the regional league. In general then there’s a younger panel than previously. Five players were involved with Donegal u-20s in last two years. A few of the older brigade haven’t retired as such and are still knocking about.
