Madden looking forward to derby duel

MADDEN

Management:

Micky Grimley (manager), Paddy Toner, Ricky Greene, Ronan Gallagher, Mickey Reynolds and Paddy Grimley (coaches).

Championship programme:

Armagh SFC round one
Madden v Ballymacnab, August 8.

Team news:

Madden will most definitely be up for their derby duel with Ballymacnab, and they play a lot better when they are fired up. Micky Grimley’s side have a lot of big players, including Armagh star Niall Grimley, and they are very formidable down the spine of their team. There is some mixed team news. Former Player of the Year Gerard Grimley has transferred to Clady while Ronan Gallagher has returned from St Gall’s. Young players like Shea Vallely, Eoin Grimley, Josh King and Ryan Carmichael will add to the squad. Most of those were on the u-16 team that claimed the county A title in 2018. Defenders Conor Morgan and Ryan Loughran and attacker Caolan Vallely are all currently carrying injuries. Ciaran Rafferty will captain the side for the second time in his playing career.
