Captaincy is popular in the Duffy household in 2020 with Kieran being appointed Monaghan vice-captain while his older brother Owen will captain Latton as they chase a first title since 2011. The O’Rahilly’s have some excellent young talent coming through, and their main aim is remaining at senior level so that they can blood them properly. That said, given the season that’s in it, anything can happen and if they can leave ‘Blayney with victory in round one then their ambitions may become loftier. Former players Owen Lennon, Martin O’Brien and Brendan Lennon are in charge and they’ll be glad that nobody has retired from the 2019 squad. Since the turn of the millennium only four clubs have won more than one Monaghan title, and Latton are one of them. They can be very dangerous.
