Kilrea were hit with a terrible blow two years ago when they were relegated. The Pearses have enjoyed success at underage level in recent years, with a lot of strong players coming through, but they have not been able to translate that onto the senior team. They still have senior campaigners like James Kielt involved, but the club is at a low ebb and Declan Bradley has a job of work on his hands.
