KEVIN Cassidy has spoken at length about his decision to finally hang up his boots.

The Gaoth Dobhair clubman announced last week that he had played his last game after the side’s championship defeat to Naomh Conaill, and he used today’s Gaelic Life column to expand on his decision.

“I am 35 years old and could probably play on for another year or two or drop down and play some reserve but as a youngster growing up I made the decision to leave both club and county at the height of my powers.”
