John McEvoy named as Derry Senior Hurling Manager

John McEvoy has been named as the Derry Senior Hurling manager for the 2019 season.

McEvoy takes the reigns of the Oakleaf County as a former Dublin U’21 manager overseeing their march to the All-Ireland Final at the grade.

He will be assisted by Johnny McGuirk who is also a former Dublin U’21 manager and selector with the Dublin Senior Hurling Panel while having a spell in charge of the boys in blue’s minor side.

Brian Delargy is a former Cushendall and Antrim hurler with a wealth of experience of coaching from within his own club and he will assist with proceedings.

Derry came to within a whisker of reaching the Christy Ring decider in 2018 after losing narrowly in the last four to Kildare.
