There is some more news of the Tyrone panel ahead of the Christmas break.
As well as Mattie Donnelly been named as captain Peter Harte has been named as vice-captain ahead of the new season, which throws in with a McKenna Cup clash at home to Antrim on January 3. That’s followed by another home clash against St Mary’s and a final group stage match against Cavan at Breffni Park.
In other news, Errigal Ciaran’s Ben O’Donnell is the latest player to be called into the Tyrone panel. The young midfielder was one of Errigal’s leading lights in their otherwise disappointing senior championship final defeat to Omagh back in October. He was also part of Tyrone’s U21 team this year, and joins Michael McKernan, Brendan Burns and Ciaran McLaughlin as new faces in Mickey Harte’s squad. #
