TYRONE struggled to match Dublin in last year’s wretched All-Ireland semi-final loss to Dublin, but there were more encouraging signs in the recent ‘Super Eight’ clash at Healy Park that they have closed the gap.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland final against the Dubs, Peter Harte attributes much of the credit to the team’s strength and conditioning coach Peter Donnelly.
“The boys have kicked on this season. The likes of Michael McKernan wasn’t in the squad and a few more fringe players are getting game-time.”
Everybody has been working hard and since Peter Donnelly joined in 2015 there has been an awful lot of work done trying to get us physically ready to challenge.”
The full interview with Peter Harte, which is in our special All-Ireland final supplement, is in this week’s Gaelic Life, in shops now or available here.
