Grange trying to build on Intermediate success

GRANGE

Management:

Peter Nugent (manager), Eoin Rafferty, Karl Jordan and Marc Magee (coaches).

Championship programme:

Armagh SFC round one
Grange v Killeavy, August 8

Team news:

Peter Nugent was a coach with Grange for the last few seasons and it has been a pretty good transition as they have opened with league wins over Clann Eireann and St Peter’s. On paper the Grange have some great players, such as Ethan Rafferty, Cathal McKenna, Adam Toal and Miceal McKenna, and if they are motoring then Grange are a very dangerous proposition. Padraig Rafferty and Conor Toal drop out from the squad that won the Intermediate title last year but Sean Doherty has transferred in from Strabane and by all accounts he has fitted in well at centre half-back. Daire Mallon returns after missing last year through injury wile Adam Toal will captain the side. Will be fairly sizeable underdogs in their championship game with Killeavy, but Nugent will know that if they can play to their potential then they will have a chance.
