Granemore happy to be written off

GRANEMORE

Management:

Eamonn Kavanagh (manager) and Macartan McKenna (coach).

Championship programme:

Armagh SFC round one
Granemore v Clann Eireann, August 7

Team news:

Granemore are doing it again, winning matches by a point. Last year they showed that they were the team for tight encounters and it nearly ended in a first-ever Senior Championship final spot before Ballymacnab edged them out in extra-time in the semi-final meeting. They won three of their five championship games by a point last year, and started this season with a one-point win over Armagh Harps with Ryan Rafferty and Jason O’Neill grabbing late goals. Last week’s clash with Killeavy was postponed as the south Armagh men dealt with a Covid-19 issue, so there will be extra importance on tomorrow’s encounter league encounter with Maghery as they prepare for their championship opener with Clann Eireann.
