Last year, CJ McGourty was a prolific scorer for the Saffrons, but he has since chosen to declare for PJ O’Mullan’s hurlers.
This leaves Fantasy managers in a quandary. Antrim represent one of the best opportunities for Fantasy points owing to the fact that they are playing in division four where good forwards can do real damage.
But the question is, who do we choose to get those points?
Here’s a few options.
Michael McCann (midfield): Before McCann took a sabbatical from inter county he was a popular choice of Fantasy managers. The reason being is that McCann will get forward and take a point. The question is, can McCann return to that form this season.
Tomas McCann (Full forward): Expect McCann to take over a lot of the scoring responsibility in the Antrim forward line. He had a high-profile departure from the team last season, but as long as there are no more rows, McCann will be a prolific forward.
Brian Neeson (Full forward): Everyone saw Bam Neeson’s cheeky chip in the McKenna cup. But Fantasy followers should already have been aware of his value from two years ago. Neeson is certainly worth a chance.
Kevin Niblock (half forward): Niblock has loads of inter county experience and has the potential to take plenty of scores this season.
