Kilcoo finally got over the line in Ulster last season, and it very nearly ended in All-Ireland glory only for Corofin to catch them in extra-time in the final. Is the hunger still there? Well, the fact that no player has retired probably answers that particular question. Conor Laverty was the most likely to hang them up given his Monaghan commitments, but he is back and is joint captain with Aidan Brannigan. There has been good news as Darragh O’Hanlon recently made his return from a long-term back injury while Ceilum Doherty is also hoping for more luck on that front in 2020. The Magpies have had a policy of trying to introduce some fresh talent this year and Tiernan Fettes is a player they are very excited about. Kilcoo are the team to beat.
