FORMER Derrygonnelly boss Martin Greene has been appointed as the new manager of Fintona Pearses.

Greene led his native club to three successive Fermanagh Senior Football Championship titles in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Since then, he has managed a number of different clubs including Tyrone side Aghyaran and Leitrim clubs Glencar– Manorhamilton and Aughawillan.

Greene will be joined at Fintona by his clubmate Kevin Cassidy.

Cassidy, the winner of eight New York Cups as a player, was part of Greene’s management team at Aughawillan last season.

The Fintona Pearses club committee confirmed the appointment on social media.

“Archie [Martin Greene] and Kevin [Cassidy] are proven winners,” they said, “further backroom team announcements in due course.

“We wish Archie and Kevin all the best and thank Paul and his team for the great work for the past three seasons.”
