Dromintee trying to shake off ‘potential’ tag

John Kennedy (manager), Stephen Kearney and Kevin Fearon (coaches).

Championship programme:

Armagh SFC round one
Dromintee v Maghery, August 8

Team news:

‘Promise’ and ‘inconsistency’ are the two words often mentioned about this Dromintee team, and maybe it’s time that they changed the labels. In the last three seasons they have beaten all the top teams with the exception of Maghery, but one top performance is often followed by a bad one. Have lost some experienced heads in the form of former Armagh goalie Philly McEvoy, defender John Molloy and forward Shane Carroll, but younger players like Paul Martin, Liam Fearon, Aaron Boyle and Ronan Quinn have fitted in well. Peadar O’Hare will captain the side and they will have to be at their absolute best to have any chance of getting past Maghery in the first round of the championship.
