THESE two teams played out a thrilling contest when they met in the first round of the Intermediate championship. Carryduff edged past Liatroim, 2-19 to 3-12, and they could do so again this weekend.

DOWN JUNIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

CASTLEWELLAN V WARRENPOINT

Friday, Park Esler, 7.30pm

CASTLEWELLAN were much too strong for Ballyvarley in the semi-finals, winning by 17-points in the end while Warrenpoint oversaw a six-point win over Kilclief. Castlewellan may just have enough to claim victory here.
