DOWN’S Coiste Banisiti has appointed a five-person committee to commence the process of finding Paddy Tally’s successor.
Included is former star Mark Poland and current player Benny McArdle. County chairperson John Devaney and secretary Seán Óg McAteer are also involved, as is well known Down GAA figure Barney McAleenan.
A number of names have been linked to the position since Paddy Tally’s decision to step down after Down’s Ulster Championship defeat to Donegal.
A sensational return for Tally has been mooted, while Conor Laverty, Stevie Poacher and Conor Deegan have also been linked to the position.
