John Campbell’s goal three minutes from time was enough to send Buncrana towards Division Two football for the 2019 season. 

It was always going to be nip and tuck when these two sides meet and it was close and cagey in the opening half with Buncrana leading by the minimum 0-4 to 0-3 at the break thanks to scores from John Campbell and Oisin Doherty.

Callum Gallagher and Ross Gallagher were very much to the fore for Naomh Brid in the second half as their scores paved the way for a two point lead with time running out.

Up stepped, John Campbell hitting the back of the net with three to play giving his side a one point lead.

Buncrana kicked hitting the two final scores of the game to claim a famous come from behind win and join Killybeg’s in Division Two for 2019.
