DERRY midfielder Brendan Rogers has been named as the GAA/GPA Player of the Month in association with PwC.
The Sleacht Néill man was a colossus in Derry’s run to the cusp of an All-Ireland final with 1-14 to his name across their 20-game season.
He edges out nine-time All-Ireland winner Stephen Cluxton and Brian Fenton who he enjoyed a seismic battle with at Celtic Park earlier in the season before kicking the winner in a Derry victory.
Rogers joins clubmate Shane McGuigan who also picked up the same award earlier in the season.
