Paddy Bradley still doesn’t know why he was dropped from Derry

Derry All-Star Paddy Bradley had actually hoped to return to county football in 2013, but after his second cruciate injury he was never asked back by the then county manager Brian McIver.

In a feature in the current issue of Gaelic Life, the Glenullin star explained how he had spoke to McIver about his injury, and the expectation was that he would get a call back to the team when he was fit and well.

However, the call never came and Bradley says he still doesn’t know why he never got another chance to play for his county.

He says that he does think that there were those around McIver who didn’t want the forward back on the team.

In the current issue, read the full story of Bradley’s journey from being a fearful Maghera footballer, to questioning Eamon Coleman, and almost missing out on his All-star.
