The Derry panel are currently training for the resumption of the National Leagues though numbers have been low.
With a large contingent of the team taking part in the latter stages of the club championship, in particular with finalists Sleacht Néill and Magherafelt, numbers at training have been smaller than usual.
Derry were one of the latest counties to complete their championship as it onlu concluded last weekend. As a result Rory Gallagher has not had time to work with his full panel.
That should change in the coming weeks now that the Robert Emmet’s and Magherafelt players can return to the team.
The only other question mark is what is happening with Conor Glass. Rory Gallagher reportedly has ruled Glass out from taking part. There are also questions marks due to him having to isolate. The players on the squad still remain unclear whether he will join up or not.
Derry’s league hopes are dim though as their chance of promotion are gone and it looks like their final two games will be an opportunity for players to stake a claim for places in the championship squad.
