In this week’s Gaelic Life, Crossmaglen boss Donal Murtagh tells Niall Gartland that his side must improve massively if they’re to qualify for the Ulster Club Final.
Their opponents come in the form of Donegal champions, Gaoth Dobhair who easily overcame the Antrim kingpins while Cross had to battle past Coalisland in a game they were disappointed with their performance in.
“Thankfully we got through but we weren’t happy with the way we played. A lot of the boys were disappointed that we played the way we did,” Murtagh told the Gaelic Life.
With a host of Under 21’s on the team, Cross find themselves fighting on two fronts as the u’21 championship runs on in Armagh with Cross still in contention.
“We played Coalisland on the Saturday and then had to play on Sunday against Mullaghbawn in the u’21 championship, a number of players had to play both those games which isn’t ideal.”
