A civic reception has been held for Derry minor’s team of the year selection, Tiarnan Woods.
Wood’s picked up the prestigious accolade for his stand-out performances in the Oakleaf counties run to the Ulster decider and subsequent thrilling quarter-final loss to Meath.
The Drumsurn club man was only one of three Ulster representatives named on the team alongside the Monaghan duo of Aaron Mulligan and Ronan Grimes.
Those named on the second Electric Ireland Minor team of the year were honoured in Croke Park on September 29th before the Mayor of the Causeway and Glens Borough Council, Brenda Chivers saw it fit for the young defender to be honoured closer to home.
