Magherafelt are the county champions and are no doubt eager to defend their title. A few years ago, Adrian Cush’s team were pilloried for playing a defensive style against Sleacht Néil. Then last year they captured the title. Their success was built on a series of strong showings in the league. This year they will have no such build up but with lads like Danny Heavron, and Emmett McGuckin up front, Magherafelt will be eager to defend their title. Adrian Cush said that there are no changes to his squad for this season.
