FORMER GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghaíl believes that Larry McCarthy will boost the GAA family worldwide when he comes into office.
The new York-based man earned a surprise election victory over Jarlath Burns at February’s Congress, and he will replace John Horan as President next year.
“I think this will be a period where there will be great focus and great reflection on the GAA family worldwide,” Ó Fearghaíl said.
“That will not just be on Larry McCarthy personally, but it’s an opportunity for the media and everyone just to reflect a little bit more perhaps on the absolute impact of the GAA around the world.”
