Denn wait the outcome of appeal against goalkeeper’s red card

Denn manager Stephen Baxter could be without goalkeeper Mark Fegan for their Ulster JFC Final on Sunday.

Fegan was shown a red card in the aftermath of their semi-final win over Desertmartin, for ‘kicking with minimal force’.

The game was streamed live, but the incident – which happened after the final whistle – wasn’t picked up.

The appeal is up on Thursday night and Baxter is unsure of what the outcome will be.

“We’ll see how it goes, but I honestly don’t know,” Baxter said. “We have a very good sub goalkeeper (Conor Courtney) and he has been getting games in the reserves and he will be stepping up on Sunday.”

Denn play Donegal champions Downings on Sunday in Clones.
