ALL-STAR goalkeeper Raymond Galligan is one of three names in the hat to succeed Mickey Graham as Cavan manager, the Anglo Celt have reported.
Micheál McDermott and Jason O’Reilly have also been nominated, with all three nominees’ clubs putting their names forward ahead of Sunday’s deadline.
McDermott took Ramor United to Cavan Championship glory and was the manager of Clare before Colm Collins, while O’Reilly – Cavan’s 1997 Ulster final goalscorer – managed Cavan Gaels a senior title.
Galligan, the current goalkeeper and an All-Star in 2021, is a surprise inclusion to the shortlist of men to succeed Graham.
The news comes after last week’s appointment of Larry Reilly as the Cavan u-20 manager.
