Graham remains in charge of Cavan senior footballers

MICKEY GRAHAM is set to remain in charge of the Cavan footballers for at least another two years, putting an end to speculation about whether he would stay at the helm.

Graham said he would weigh up his options in the wake of last month’s Tailteann Cup final defeat to Westmeath, but the County Board released a short statement tonight saying “Cavan GAA Management Committee are delighted to announce that Mickey Graham will remain Cavan Senior Football Team Manager for another two Years, subject to Ratification at the next County Committee Meeting.”

Graham, who is four years in the hotseat, led the Breffni County to the Ulster Championship title in 2020, and while they suffered back-to-back relegations in 2020 and 2021, they won this year’s Division Four title and will play in the third tier in 2023.
