Arva 0-13 Listowel 0-10
A superb second half display saw Cavan side Arva claim the All-Ireland Intermediate title at Corke Park against Kerry’s Listowel Emmets.
Listowel were the better team in the opening period and opened up a three-point margin minutes before the break thanks to a David Keane point.
Arva struck one back through full forward Kevin Bouchier before Keane restored the Kerry sides three-point advantage, seeing Listowel ahead 0-7 to 0-4 at the interval.
Ciaran Brady got things up and running in the second half while Bouchier traded scores with Sean Kane. Tristian Noack Hoffman pointed before Peter Morris tied things up.
Brady nudged the Cavan men ahead while Keane and Bouchier traded scores. Further scores from Bouchier and Peter Morris put Arva three in front heading into the final few minutes.
Star man Brady split the posts once again while at the other end, Joe Joe Grimes of Listowel rattled the net, but the referee called it back for an earlier foul.
Sam Tarrant tapped over the resulting free, but it was too little too late for the Kerry side as Arva held on to win by three points.
