Castlewellan suffered a big blow a few weeks ago as Daniel Morgan suffered a cruciate injury, ruling him out for the rest of the year. That is a tough absence to absorb, especially as Luke Toner and Aidy Burns had already decided to hang up the boots. Castlewellan suffered a disappointing 2019 championship as they lost to Carryduff and Burren, although they did take the latter to extra-time. The management team are putting a big emphasis on youth this season with the likes of Callum McKibben, Ciaran Stratton, Lorcan Cairns, Daire McVeigh and Conan Brogan set to get some game-time. Cahal Crilly captains the side and they face a difficult championship opener against an ever-improving Bredagh outfit.
