Mark Lynch is not named in the Derry panel for Saturday night’s crunch clash with Tyrone.
Lynch started at full-forward for Derry against Galway, but is unavailable to play this weekend, and is not named on the bench.
There are five changes to the starting team that togged out against Galway.
Goakeeper Eoin McNicholl replaces Thomas Mallon, Oisin Duffy comes in instead of Ryan Ferris in defence.
At midfield Niall Holly gets his first start of the season having been away with Coleraine’s hurlers for the start of the year.
Niall Holly came on as a sub for Ryan Ferris against Galway.
In attack, Coleraine’s Sean Leo starts in the half back line, and Emmet McGuckin is in at full forward. McGuckin was involved in a controversial incident against Tyrone in the McKenna Cup, when he was sent off for a second yellow card offence following an altercation with Cathal McCarron.
The Derry players who miss out are Ferris, Lynch, Mallon, Benny Heron and Daniel McKinless.
