Ballyholland happy with underdog tag

BALLYHOLLAND

Management:

Damien McCrink and Justin Lynch (joint-managers), Shane Mulholland (selector) and Tommy Stevenson (S&C coach).

Championship programme:

Down SFC round one

Ballyholland v Darragh Cross

Team news:

It’s déjà vu for Ballyholland and not for the first time, they have been written off. It was the same last year, but the Harps went all the way to the semi-final where they were beaten by a Warrenpoint side that played some scintillating football in Newry. They enjoy the underdogs’ tag, although the match with Darragh Cross will be viewed as a 50-50 encounter. Patrick Quinn is home from Australia to add some reinforcements while Tony Havern is making his way back from a cruciate injury. Paul Murphy will captain the side this year with Joe Murphy and Paddy McAteer acting as vice-captains.
