In this week’s Gaelic Life, Niall McCoy speaks to Ballycran’s Scott Nicholson ahead of the Down winner Ulster Final clash with Cushendall.
Nicholson pulls no punches in knowing what the rest of the Ulster community thinks of his team but hopes that perceptions will change after this year’s provincial decider.
“We’ve always had great hurlers in Ballycran but maybe some people felt that we didn’t have the workrate to match,” Nicholson told the Gaelic Life.
Heading into his third Ulster final, the 29-year-old claims this is probably the one he is most looking forward too.
“We definitely seem fresher. It’s a long aul season when you start in November and I think having a shorter season has certainly made a huge difference.”
