ARMAGH’S Ross McQuillan has returned from a one-year spell with AFL club Essendon.
The Cullyhanna man had been in Kieran McGeeney’s squad prior to leaving for the Bombers and will likely make an instant return.
“International rookie Ross McQuillan has informed Essendon of his decision to retire from AFL, effective immediately,” the club said.
“Hailing from County Armagh in Ireland, the 21-year-old will relocate back to his native country.”
