Donaghy set to remain with Armagh

KIERAN Donaghy will be staying in the Armagh dugout for the 2023 season Gaelic Life understands.

The Connaught Telegraph reported this evening that the Kerry legend was set to be named as the new Roscommon boss, with former Kingdom teammate Paul Galvin as part of his management team.

Gaelic Life has since learned that the four-time All-Ireland winner is set to stay with Armagh, who will face the Rossies in Division One next year.

Donaghy joined Kieran McGeeney’s management team in a shock move back in 2021 and has been a huge addition to the Orchard County over the last two years.

Armagh retained their Division One status this season, claiming huge wins over Dublin and Tyrone along the way.

They made it to the All-Ireland quarter-finals for the first time since 2017 but lost out to Galway on penalties.

They lost out to Donegal in the opening round of the Ulster championship but made massive strides this year.
