Robinson appointed new Maghery manager

MAGHERY have appointed their own clubman Eamon Robinson as their senior team manager for the upcoming season.

Robinson replaces Ardboe native Gabhan Wylie, who parted ways with the club following their 15-point semi-final defeat to Crossmaglen.

Maghery suffered relegation from the top tier in 2022 and will compete in Division 1B when league action returns.

The Loughshore men have been one of the top teams in the county over the past decade, picking up two championship titles.

Shane McConville led Maghery to their maiden championship success in 2016 while Finnian Moriarty was the man in charge in 2020.

Dromintee were relegated from Division 1A along with Maghery last season and they also have a new man in charge.

Culloville native Kieran Quinn, who was over St Mochtas of Louth last season, takes over from John Kennedy, who guided Dromintee to a league title in 2021.

Dromintee reached the last eight of the championship last season but lost out to Crossmaglen by ten points after extra time.
