TYRONE All-Ireland winner Ryan Mellon has been added to the Madden management team for the upcoming season.

Mellon lifted the Sam Maguire twice with Tyrone in 2005 and 2008 before retiring from inter-county duty in 2010.

The Moy native has joined the Armagh club with Mickey Grimley remaining in charge for another year.

The Raparees finished fourth in Division 1A this season, behind league winners Armagh Harps, Killeavy and Crossmaglen.

Madden gave a great display in the preliminary round of the Senior championship to defeat Grange 2-12 to 3-5.

They were knocked out in the next round however as Killeavy proved too strong, although they competed in the championship without the injured Niall Grimley.
