Do or die in Armagh football and hurling championships

ARMAGH INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINALS

ST PAUL’S V TULLYSARAN

Saturday, Athletic Grounds, 5pm

BOTH teams scrapped through their quarter finals, with St Paul’s needing extra time to see off Wolfe Tones while Tullysaran overcame Belleek by one point. St Paul’s may just have too much firepower and that could be the difference.

Verdict: St Paul’s

SHANE O’NEILL’S V CULLOVILLE

Saturday, Athletic Grounds, 7pm

THE two best teams left in the competition, both sides reached the last four without having to break much of a sweat. Shane O’Neill’s will be vying for revenge as it was Culloville who ended their 2021 season, but the Blues may just be about to repeat the feat.

Verdict: Culloville

ARMAGH SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINALS

KEADY V CUCHULAINNS

Sunday, Athletic Grounds, 2pm

CUCHULAINNS caused an upset when these sides met in the group stages, but Keady have surely learned their lessons. They should have too much this time around and will be better focused, which will send them through to the decider.

Verdict: Keady

MIDDLETOWN V CRAOBH RUA

Sunday, Athletic Grounds, 4pm

LAST years Ulster Junior champions Craobh Rua have had a fantastic year at senior level, beating both Cuchulainns and Derrynoose in the round robin games. But this will prove to be a step too far as Middletown are the best in the county by a distance.

Verdict: Middletown
