Armagh unveil their new camogie management team

By Shaun Casey

JIM McKernan has been appointed as the new manger of the Armagh camogie side, along with a management team of Ciaran Cunningham, Johnny McIntosh and Paul McKillen.

McKernan, who along with McKillen guided Antrim to Intermediate All-Ireland success last season, replaces Mattie Lennon.

Lennon oversaw Armagh’s run to the Junior All-Ireland final, where Wexford proved too strong. They were also crowned Intermediate Ulster champions, beating Antrim 2nds.

This will be Armagh’s third new manager in as many seasons, as Michael Murphy led the team to Junior All-Ireland success in 2020.
McKernan and Cunningham have a wealth of experience having worked with the Antrim and Down hurlers as well as the Derry and UUJ camogie teams.

Armagh Camogie said: “Armagh Camogie are delighted with the appointment of our 2022 senior management team and look forward to a new and hopefully a successful season ahead and we thank our outgoing management team led by Mattie Lennon for their efforts and valuable contributions in 2021.”
