ARMAGH HARPS
Management:
Damien Jordan and Tony Murphy.
Championship programme:
Armagh SFC round one
Armagh Harps v St Peter’s, August 9
Team news:
Armagh Harps have lost their first two league games by a single point, so a bit of composure and things could have been a lot different. They did kick away an awful lot of ball straight to Dromintee in the second of those, so there are things to clean up on. Joe McElroy missed those games with injury but Charlie Vernon and Decky McKenna do provide a great defensive spine. Tom O’Kane’s free-taking has been outstanding and the St Peter’s defence have been warned. Over the last two seasons the club have aimed to introduce fresh blood – Brian Brady made his league debut last weekend – so the Harps are in a period of transition. They are not to be written off though, and they should get past the Whites in round one.
