McNulty to lead Creggan title defence

By Michael McMullan

GERARD McNulty remains at the helm of champions Creggan as they embark on a new season.

Their win over Aghagallon ended a 67-year wait for glory and with the Antrim leagues down to commence in early April, clubs are getting organised for a new season.

McNulty will have his brother Thomas back on board in a management team that includes Paul Russell, Peter McCollum, Enda Muldoon and Martin McElkennon.

Beaten finalists Aghagallon were forced to find a new manager after Kevin Murray stepped down. He will be in charge of Moy next season and his replacement in Aghagallon is Audi Kelly, who was joint manager when Moy won the All-Ireland intermediate title in 2018. Kelly will be joined by former Pearse Óg and Armagh player Darnell Parkinson.

Cargin have continuity this season after Damian Cassidy stepped down to join his native Bellaghy. Ballinderry man Ronan Devlin, a coach under Cassidy, takes over as manager with Kevin Doyle also still on board. They are joined by Ballinderry man Fabian Muldoon.

Lamh Dhearg have appointed Declan Bunting, Michael Herron and Brendan McCombe as their new management team.

Portglenone man John McKeever has taken charge of his native club and has formed an impressive management team that includes Tyrone legend Peter Canavan.

Anthony McGrath stays with Belfast side St Brigid’s, while Hugh McGettigan will be in charge of Rossa. Aaron Douglas is the St John’s manager, with Paddy McShane and Sean Burns taking over as a management duo in St Gall’s.

Michael O’Kane steered Tír na nÓg, Randalstown to an Intermediate Championship and league double and remains in charge as they embark on senior football.
